Working together, in person, on the phone, and through e-mail, we will identify the ideal sound and the instrument's feel and playability that best suits you and your style. We will specify the features, the types of wood, and the decoration and appointments that you most desire. As your instrument is being built you can follow along on this website with the running journal of pictures and explanations. Since you will have a personal luthier you can guide and direct the details of the design as the instrument is being built and drop by the shop any time you feel the need to visit your creation in progress. Portland Guitar stands behind your instrument for as long as you own it, so you can have the confidence that you will be a satisfied customer. The price of the instrument is dependent on the degree of specification, the size of the instrument, the choice of woods, and the amount of decoration you request. Currently, entry level instruments start at about $1200.

All Portland Guitars are offered with a User Adjustable Tilt Action Neck, Engineered Bracing System, customer defined scale length, neck profile, appointments and decorations, and choice of woods and finishes.

Nylon string and cutaway versions of each model are also available.
